  17. <p>     Everybody gets annoyed. Few people can make a lucrative
  18. career out of it. Exception: JERRY SEINFELD, comedy's master
  19. chronicler of mundane absurdity. What's been driving him nuts
  20. this week? High-finance-charge credit cards. "Have you ever seen
  21. how many words there are on the bottom of a Visa bill?" says
  22. Jerry. "It's unbelievable." Good thing Seinfeld was tapped to
  23. plug the American Express card in edgy new adds that knock the
  24. competition. One features Jerry lecturing a goldfish on
  25. revolving debt. Quirky, yes, but then again, Am Ex had the comic
  26. pen the ads himself. "I always wanted to write ad copy," says
  27. Jerry. "It's a lot like writing jokes."
